  1. APP to Be Considered for Bulk Purchase
My choice would be Splashtop Whiteboard by Splashtop Inc.
This app turns your ipad into a mobile interactive whiteboard. Right now you can also do the purchase through Apple VPP and get the same number of styluses free, see www.splashtop.com/whiteboard/stylus.
This app has a great toolbar, including flipchart, snapshot, undo and redo, pen and highlighter, ovals, retangles, lines, text, eraser, erase all, prev page, next page, screen shade, spotlight and more. Flipchart backgrounds options include blank, lined, graph, Cartesian, Venn Diagrams and more. There is the ability to annotate over keynote (apple's power point program) or Powerpoint on the classroom PC or over flash media.
this app would allow me to be mobile because it connects via wifi to the computer. This would increase engagement, especially since most of my students want to play with my ipad because they don't have access to such.
I can control my PC applications and even use my Promethean software. Mac applications can also be controlled. This allows me to be in the best physical locations for classroom management, allows students to participate at their desk, which would be nice given how crowded my classroom has become this year given the size of my classes.
I can snapshot and print notes for my SpEd students to meet IEP requirements. I can use various colors of pens, highlighters, shapes, lines, and text.
To top it off, any video I play on my ipad can appear up on my whiteboard with the great audio of the ipad. (have you heard how great the speaker is on this thing?!)
I would not have to turn my back on my students.
